7 things I love about Winter

Posted in
Seven things I love about Winter(and Autumn):

1. Doona's
Don't you just love that feeling of cosying up in bed with a soft, fluffly blanket of warmth swept over you?! I know I hate the feeling of getting out of bed. But honestly, what's better than a blanket? Throw in a hot chocolate and a good movie, and you're set for Winter.

2. Hot Chocolate
You're bound to have guessed it. I love my hot chocolate. I love coffee too (in fact, I'm very much addicted to it), but in Winter, it all comes down to hot chocolate. That's the symbol for Winter. Sorry, coffee. =/

3. Maple Trees and the colour change of the leaves
I think Maple Trees, and Cherry Blossom trees, are the most beautiful parts of nature... they're so astonishingly stunning, it's unbelievable. I'm very much a photographer, it's one of my many passions, and taking photographs of these beauties... it's such a privelage... a feeling of joy. The colour changes... it's so beautiful to see the fresh, vibrant colours of nature show itself during Autumn. And I love seeing that lovely musky pink colour fill the Cherry Blossom trees. You know that when you feel like the world is all evil, there's some of God's creations that are just... beautiful beyond comparison... things that make you hope...

4. Fashion
I love the fashion in Winter a lot more than Summer fashion. Summer- I love the dresses, don't get me wrong. But with Winter Fashion, you can dress it up, add heaps of layers, add boots (LOVE!), trench coats (LOVE!), and many other things including berets, gloves, etc. You can't go past Winter fashion.

5. Rain
Not many people enjoy the rain, and yes it can be inconveniant. Especially if you're at school, and you can't get home because you've forgotten your umbrella, and you end up getting soaked. But I have to say, I'm a fan of rain. I love it. I love the smell after it especially. I'm not like other girls in that way... you know, where they fuss about their hair getting wet because it will go fuzzy and they straightened it... etc etc. If it rains, I'm going to go outside and stand in it. Stand where the water falls in tiny droplets... i love the feel of the rain... i love tasting it... Try it sometime. I especially love sunshowers. They're my favourite. And of course, it gives you an extra special bonus after it! Rainbows. Which brings me to my next point.

6. Rainbows
Aren't they just amazing?! With the sky so grey and full of clouds, how can you not love the beautiful ray of colours brightening up your day? Isn't it astonishing how out of something so gloomy (I love rain, but I hate the gloominess of the clouds and no sun) comes a beautiful ray full of colours? I take pictures of them always, with my niece. It's our special little thing we enjoy together, other than our obsessive love for ice cream.
7. Shopping
When there's nothing to do, what do you do? I shop! And this year, it's Melbourne for me! The best shopping city in Australia. I'm so excited! Anyway, when all is cold... and your mum bugs you about lounging around in your doona, what can you do? Shop. It's the best excuse for clothes, bags, shoes, food... =)
